Absence Management – the new era

With the changes around Statutory Sick Pay coming in this April, employer’s absence management procedures will become increasingly important. The double whammy of the removal of waiting days and the lower earnings limit mean that employee absence will potentially become more costly for employers and therefore robust management of absence is essential. Effective absence management will require a clear Absence Policy and a consistent approach to be taken by line managers to ensure that genuine absences are managed sensitively and that employers implement strategies to deal with those which are perhaps not so genuine!

We can help with both aspects and we are running two events to look at absence management in the new era of the Employment Rights Act 2025 including practical tips. The cost of both events is the same.

£200 plus VAT per delegate; or

£100 plus VAT per delegate if you are a client on our Employer Support Scheme.

We are running an online webinar on Tuesday 17 March 2026 and an in-person event at our offices in Lichfield on Tuesday 24 March 2026. The content of both events will be the same but, at the in-person event, we will also hold a “roundtable session” to give you chance to pick the brains of other delegates on any issues that you are grappling with.
